Hawco is a distributor of a range of control devices used in the sensing, measurement and control of temperature and pressure.
Volume applications for Hawco's product range from chilled cabinets for supermarkets, bars and restaurants to fire detection systems; from air conditioning and domestic appliances to laboratory equipment. The business is broadly based in terms of customers and suppliers. The company services a wide customer base through its QuickPick catalogues of selected, fast moving products available for immediate delivery and also provides design-in services for OEM's in a diverse range of industries.
Hawco has also positioned itself as a specialised supplier of energy efficient components as many of the large food retailers implement energy reduction programmes and move to alternative coolant gases using natural refrigerants.
Hitek is a specialised provider of calibration and repair services for a broad range of electrical, temperature, humidity, RF/microwave and dimensional measuring instruments. Some 40% of service revenues are generated externally (on-site or in the Hitek mobile vans) and 60% internally in Hiteks' UKAS approved laboratory.
